    Pic 1: 3ft tank, 1.5 yrs old.

    Pic 2: 2ft tank, 1 month old. Using mixture of garden soil, sphagnum moss and laterite sand as substrate with 4cm of lonestar graven on top.

    Any comments or suggestions on how to improve? Tks

    Tank one is very nice.....I dont see much you can do for it....perhaps some red stemmed plants to highlight the rest?

    i think there are some reddish stem plants coming up from the left foreground, aren't they?

    Tank 1 is nice and lush. But keeping all stem plants is hard to maintain.

    For Tank 2, the centre stone and driftwood on right is fighting for attention. Maybe just keep the driftwood as it is smaller?

    Yup agree with Juggler on tank 2...leave just one slighty off center or place them both at the same location...for eg. drift on top of rock or whatever....get one focal pt....

    Tank 1, IMO The overall effect is to rectangular now, open up some space with some trimming on the back, some different shades of green will help also

    Tank 2, the driftwood and rock just doesn't go together, either the rocks only or driftwood...er... this rock looks too triangular, perhaps you can try a different angle and maybe add a few more of the same type of rocks.
