    hi, anyone try putting sand(normal type) base on top of soil in a shrimp tank?

    I do that, but read that if you use darker colors like quartz, It's Actually helps the shrimps to have deeper color.

    hi Kurty, I wanna to use sea sand as colour is bright. will sand effect the water?

    Ermm, if It's clean, I don't see why not..
    Just I find it not that nice compare to a darker soil.

    I remember I got Mine for $2 a kg, at pasir ris farmway.

    oh ok. I don want dark color because my shrimp is dark in color. $2 is very reasonable price...
