MC usually refers to Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo'.

You can switch to HC and give it a try, their leaves are much smaller than MC... though HC is generally a more demanding plant and tends to require more light and Co2 to grow well (MC is considered less demanding and easier to grow).

Looks like a pretty good start~
The very red plant on the right, Nesaea red, is hard to keep red in the long run. I'm no pro but I think the planting is arranged quite well, with shade plants where the stems will eventually overgrow towards. Pogostemon helferi doesn't take shade well though, so make sure it gets enough light.

I'm no expert myself but I think it looks great. Really very nice for a first attempt
Just needs more time to grow out.
    Cheers,

You already planted MC, why change to HC? let them grow and cover the foreground.. As mentioned by UA, MC is less demanding compared to HC.

Since you already have MC, just continue to let them grow... Nice tank bro...

Check out my Blog on planted tank, good for newbies ( i am lazy to retype all the info i know, so please click and read below link... i hope you don't fall asleep while reading)
