your arrangement of the wood and rocks looks very natural.. nice!
Are you using CO2? If not, I am not sure if the red plant you have at the left back will thrive.
But if you are not using CO2, I would suggest that you keep the lighting at a low level (1 wpg). The ferns, nanas and moss will get by fine with that and algae won't be a problem. And with a non-CO2, low light tank, there's no need to add fertiliser (rely on a little excess fish food) or change water (except for top-ups).

11W sounds fine (8-10 hours daily). And your temperature looks good too. What funny little animals are you going to keep there?
Umm..no idea yet...!! Tot maybe put some cherry shrimps, but feel kinda weird with the natural setup !!Any suggestions??

Darn.. Singapore is getting too damn modern.
The rocks and woods were obtained from a LFS.
The woods actually came in one piece...i just break them apart to suit my layout....Other smaller gravels were hand-picked from a bag of mixed gravels and separated by sizes and colours...it a real pain when working at such small scale and details!! On the other hand, it's real (back)pain working with 120Gallon and above tank as well ..hehe heee
That's a nice tank! No base fertiliser or soil below, I believe.

I believe arrangement with diff. types of gravel and rock gave more perspective to the layout..!! Initially thought of putting a layer of white river sand because I feel it highlights the rock and plant better, but my friend said it's not very natural !!!...

I think you shouldn't add fert. Since you don't have any CO2. And very nice tank!!

Thanks man...actually the judges were quite strict when evaluating the tanks...One of the judges even tried to remove some plants from the tank with a tweezer just to make sure the participant didnt "plug n play!!! overnight....But it was fun and great experience overall !!!
Really looking forward to future comp.!!!
