Just to check what is a TDS meter for?
And how high should the reading be.
My shrimp tank reading is 128
My top view ranchu tub with full of algae carpet is 288
My side view ranchu tank is 188

Need some expert to explain to me and let me what the reading should be like

    Thanks

These links should answer most of your questions...

For most freshwater fishes and shrimps, a TDS of between 100-200 is considered okay.

Generally if your freshwater tank TDS is rising overtime, it means excessive waste or chemicals are accumulating in the tank. This is usually a sign that water quality is decreasing, so water changes (with lower TDS water) should be done to physically remove those excessive waste content and reduce the TDS levels through dilution.
