    4 ft tank
    Plants :Xmas, Mini, Java n long leaf xmas moss n some hairgrass.

    If I use
    2 x 38W Acardia FL light for my tank

    Is the lighting enough ???

    Thanks for any advice.

    I think you need another 2 more tubes.....that is provided if your tank is 3x1.5x1.5.....besides light, temp is another important parameter especially Xmas moss

    If you don't inject CO2 or add fert, I dare say it's just about right. Mosses and ferns do ok with lowish light, minimal attention.... coolish water boosts growth best.... hairgrass will just grow slower compared to CO2 injected setups.

    I plan to stick with the CO2 injection n using extra 2x36W PL light for the 1 month. After that, I will follow budak's suggestion--- off the CO2 n left with 2*38w FL light.
    Hope it works.

    Usually there will be some problem when you switch from CO2 to non-CO2. From my experience, there tends to be algae problem before the tank re-stabilises after the switch.

    How long does it take for the tank to re-stabilise again?
