Errr... not quite sure if I read you right. You want to know how to keep the cory eggs safe from other fishes?

Well, as long as there are other fishes, you have to remove the eggs or the fishes. Else the eggs will just get eaten. Snails and shrimp too, will eat them.

I'm not familiar with cory parental behaviour, but even if they do guard or somehow protect the eggs, it's not easy with other fishes around. Then when the eggs hatch, the fries will be subject to predation too.

With that many fish, I don't think it is going to be successful. I saw eggs occationally in my tank which is quite similar to yours in terms of fish stock, but todate, I have not seen any surviving young fish.

    Saving Corydoras eggs

    Sacy,
The spawning Corydoras do not exhibit parental care over their eggs, which are carelessly laid on tank panels and leaves.

You can roll out the sticky eggs with clean fingers or a stiff plastic card. A 'cory hatchery' is easily made from readily available takeout containers shown in this thread.

    Hope this helps.

    You talking to me?

Sacy, I don't understand SMS lingo very well and if you have the time, you might want to rephrase your question.

I also realized that the subject header, "wat should i do?" doesn't say much, which is why more helpful forumers might have missed the thread. If you have the 'permission' to change the title to say, "Corydoras eggs - What should I do?", I'm sure others will chip in. [Moderators, any chance of that happening?]

That said, that 'withe dot' might be a dead embryo and that 'funge' is probably fungus.

[BTW, if I can take the time to answer you, perhaps you can return the courtesy? Thanks.]

Yes. Posters can edit their own posts and change the title.
