Referring to the big green plant which is probably 2ft long now.
I was told this is Aponogeton rigidifolius. Is it right? Any ideas?

    Close up on the leaf.

It's the tank sent for ADA and AGA competitions this year. Given a heavy trim down in early Nov.

    The same tank in Sep'04

The plant was given by Jason (WKS) as Aponoeton rigidifolius. That time was shorter than the A. reineckii. It grew big very quickly after I insert a Horti plant stick near its roots.

btw.. it does look like rigidifolia - its a strong leaf aponogeton (not so transparent/lacy)

    see pictures of various aponogetons..

    Oh yes! Definitely!

That is Christmas Moss. Too bad it is contaminated with Riccia.

Ronnie: Aponogeton ulvaceus has much wavy leaves. I had that before. I think I will stick to Aponogeton rigidifolius as suggested by Rijac. I found a close resemblance to this pic found from http://www.azgardens.com/apons.php
