Pardon my humble but direct comments.

I think it looks a little too man-made-ish. It might be something that you like. I wonder if it is possible to arrange the mesh carpets in such a way that it creates a pattern like some golf courses.

how do one maintain this kind of setup?
I find that after a while, dirt will build below the meshes and cause the water to foul a bit...
