what is that plant??

Hi guys...

was free today so went to MacRitchie to take a walk....saw lots of plants and was wondering what this one plant was?? Sorry i didn't take any photos..but its kinda looks like saggitaria...but just much much smaller...almost like the kind of grass you see on golf courses but more sparse...mostly they are under some kinda mud...but then there are some that are growing floating where i saw them....anyone has any idea??
