    Hi all,

I am new here, first post.. pls pardon me if I ask silly questions or things that has been asked b4.

I have been keeping a fish tank for the past 2-3 years.. initially in my office.. gave birth to many guppies (over hundreds)...

After I bring my tank back to my home, 0 birth, death rate is high.. probably the temp is diff...

Currently, I plan to do a Planted Tank... with low budget initially...
First plan is to get some moss and attach them to wire mesh... any advice or step by step help for this????

    Thanks...

It could also be your tap water condition or that your tank was re-cycling again.

    Welcome to AQ!

For methods to tie moss, see http://www.killies.com/Misc.htm on how to create a moss wall. The method will be similar to your wire mesh or driftwood. Not difficult.

There's an interesting thread on low-tech tanks which may suit what you are trying to attempt. See http://www.aquaticquotient.com/phpbb...ic.php?t=20420

another question.. sorry for that as I first time work on a planted tank.

When we buy the plants, it is usually bundled up with a small pack of soil. Weh we plant them into our tank, need to remove that pack of soil? plant in one by one or we can plant the entir epack?

    Thanks.. :P

Yes. You should remove the wool from the plant before planting so that the roots are not choked by the wool when planted.

Can also see the beginner's manual at Vectrapoint.com.
