IME, the green taiwanese internal reactors cannot do the job for a large tank. Moreover, yuo are using the sump, which means your CO2 reactor has to be even more effective.

Have you reduced the splashing in your tank/sump? If not, your CO2 lost rate will be high and counter productive.

Have you got pictures of your setup? Specifically of the sump and the return to your tank?
ive tried the green taiwanese reactor and it works... except that i need to turn up to 5-6bubbles/sec before it takes effect... is that rate ok for a 6ft tank??

ive tried reducing as much splash as possible.. will take pics n post.. thanx

What are you dosing right now for fert? We need more info to help you.

    (I'm guessing you're missing PO4)
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.

You cannot use Lushgro. LushGro contains NO3 (unless they have changed the formulation) and an arowana tank already has a more than adequet source of NO3.

I'm using EasyLife Pro-fito. I'm quite happy with it. Quite economical too.

If I remember correctly JBL Ferropol is not very concentrated and for a 6ft tank you need to dose something like 250ml per dose.

You get PO4 by dosing KH2PO4. I get mine from Eco-culture. You should call to check if they still have stock before going down. Ask the forum whereelse sells it.

You should be aiming for about 2ppm PO4 after a water change and if necessary another 1ppm mid-week.

I have a formula for a PO4 stock solution, but I have to go home and check my notes. Will post later.
