I recently found out there are these slug-like creatures feasting on my shrimp carcass. They are light brown in color and ranges from 05-1cm in length. They generally hide themselves underneath my thick HC growth. Anyone have any ideas what are those and if they are harmful to the underwater community at large ??

If it moves faster than a slug/snail, tt might be some kind of pods. Do you have a picture? I understand that it might be quite hard to take a clear picture but a picture will help us better in identifying the organism for you. (Almost typed orgasm. wrong forum.)

Does it look like this? Planaria are usually white actually. They turn into other colors..based on whatever they're consuming. If it is feeding off your shrimp carcasses, it's shrimp meat that gives it the brown color.

Somewhat like that but both the head and tail are sharp-ended, not like this with a triangular head. But the color does look very similiar.
