    Have anyone try repainting co2 cylinder?
    I have a 3litres steel cylinder that i want to strip and paint.
    I cant find much info about this on the web.Any advise??

    If my memory serves me well, I think one LFS do offer powder coating services. But I cannot remember which one now.

    For DIYing, I understand the steps to repaint metal is:

    1. Remove Current Paint.
    2. Grind/Sand surface with fine sandpaper.
    3. Clean surface throughly with degreaser/thinner.
    4. Paint primer.
    5. Paint at least 2 more coats of paint thereafter.

    However, pls do note that your gas cylinder is used to contain compressed gas and should be handled with care to prevent any mishap. The above I have shared is based on my general knowledge. I am sure the first 2 steps should be done with proper care.

    @ Muar_che - Actually grind/sand or using any chemical is a NO for steel and aluminum tank.
    The steel tanks are coated with zinc and then bonded with the steel tank so if you grind it you
    will remove the coating.
    I probably going to paint it over with rust inhibitor paint.
