the rock in the 2nd set up looks a bit out. Either you put more on both sides or totally remove it.

I think the red plants are too much centralised. Moving them towards the left could be better.

    Update

    lorba,

you're about the 4th person to give me comments (on all forums).
Anyway i have done the following already:

removed: rock, puffer, shrimp and MM or HM
    returfed the glosso.

    Added
    06 x Cherry barbs

will do the following base on comments:

rearrange the reds (Ided as L. Arcuata and Brevipes) . plant more densely with stems(namely R. indica, MU and macandra) so as to bring out the envisioned V shaped. thus reducing the open space to an optimum level.

    One Question:
does a temperature of 29 affect the growth of hair grass negatively? because i have remove the stand to my light sets such that all are directly above the water for better illumination and hence temp increase.

    thanks

I think its qutie a challenge to create the V-Shape in such a small, short tank. You have to be consider the plant shape, size, color and growth pattern carefully. Most of the plants you choosed needs a bigger growing space individually to show their beauty.

Reducing the number of plants is one, increasing nutrients and lights is another. Why not sloping from one side, that would be easier.

Hairgrass is basically a weed, once it starts to grow, i dont think 29 is a big problem.

    You need a bigger tank!
