1ft Office shrimp tank.

Hey, thought I'd document my shrimp tank in the office i set up about almost two months ago.
I've been contemplating whether to get CO2 for this tank, since I already have one at home,
i wasn't too keen on buying an entirely new set for the office.

Eventually I grew impatient from the lack of CO2, and poor lighting, i went and gave the disposable system from up-aqua.
NOT BAD LEH. the included items damn cui really, but co2 is co2.

Here is a photo before I changed the lighting on my tank from the cheap Up-Aqua LED light to the more expensive Up-Aqua Pro series LED light.

and here is a photo after right after i bought the light, you can see my set up with the co2 also:

and here is one week after i installed the light. the light with the co2 is amazing.
very very shortly after the lights come on, i can see the plants bubbling and about 1-2 hours later, pearling all over!

I have also gave up manually adjusting the co2 every morning, so I bought an inline solenoid from eBay,
and got the hardware uncle in serengoon to make a connector to fit the solenoid to the regulator.

anyone got any idea where to get 0.5L - 1L co2 tank? all i can find is 2l and above. maybe i go clementi check tmr.

Hi, Oceanfree carrys the 1L CO2 aluminium tank. You may want to check them out at LFS. Quite pricey though.

I saw 1L tank in the Nature aquarium too, It is expensive as mentioned by boliaoguy. Because it is made out of Aluminum Alloy. But it looks very neat compare to 2L iron tank..

handsome, but could be better I have only one suggestion that currently out of Cladophora ball, it will fall on any increase and you will hardly get rid of them, especially as you carpet

nickalot, I bought a 1L aluminium cylinder (I think brand is top Aqua) from sunpets (seletar). cost about 60+. or 70. C328 also sells a .67L cylinder.

Hi all! Thanks for your reply! I managed to find a 1L aluminum tank from c328 for $65. I thought It was. Good prices, cause sea view is selling at $85.

Sorry rodoselada, I'm not quite sure what you mean. Haha the Marino ball is going to die if I carpet the glosso?

Oh abd Gavan, the plant is ludwigia palustris! I just saw a picture online showing this plant with runners, I might wanna try . Hurhur

ludwigia has runners? didn't know that!

I think what rodoselada meant was, the Marimo moss ball will start spreading all over the tank, including your carpet. I think.

i'm not sure if they are runners per se, but it looked like it on this photo haha.

and ah? marimba balls can spread? i thought they kind just grew bigger over time. haha.
