ok I was just upset because all the fry were dying. guess what I go to my adult tank and was cleaning it and noticed these little eggs on the plants now i said my fish had babies a month ago and now it looks like they just had some more. The only thing different is the color of the eggs. last month the eggs were clear this batch is gold very beautiful color. my question is are these eggs or something else. can goldfish eggs be different colors. If they are babies I am so excited because i was really down about losing the other fry. least this time if they are babies I know what to do. should i take the eggs out if they are eggs or keep them in there another day or so?

cheriez, get them out as soon as poss, goldfish are notorious egg eaters, about the colour of the eggs i think the light comming infrom sunlight to tank light will make the eggs look a different colour,
if they are gf eggs they should hatch in 72hrs and the fry will be seen on the second day of hatching clinging to the side of the tank.
    hope this helps

I started this thread on the 18 when I found out my fish had more babies after just having them a month ago. I went to clean out their tank today and saw that they have layed more eggs. LOL by the rate they are going I might as well open up a fish store. Besides seperating them is there a way to stop them from having all these babies

in a word NO, they will carry on as long as the female keeps filling with roe, the only way to stop them is to seperate the sexes.
