My 1st attempt on a 4ft tank - The Path

Very nice! Your rockscape and current moss + hairgrass layout really enhance the scale perspective of the tank. Once the hairgrass grow in along the middle section, you'll achieve your path design.

I think it'll be better if you can keep to those small plants to maintain the sense of scale... once you put in larger leaf plants, the current sense of scale will disappear.

well, think long run..
you save on the energy, lesser heat, lesser watt, no need chiller..
no need to change light bulb..

seriously, my electricity bills jump a fold after i used maxspect..

Yeah, the main focus is the rockscape... i guess over time once the rocks are naturally covered in the mixture of moss and fuzzy green algae, it'll look very nice.

Hahaha, dun need to wait liao.. Algae is already here.. currently troops already sent in & also with the help of Excel to control the algae growth.

Really Ipit, I'm new in scaping. No doubts that lots of time & effort utilized before started this project. Fertilization using Excel & Flourish. Simply follow the instructions on the bottles. Using CO2 & chiller as well. Maintenance nothing much now except controlling my algae level. SAE, Otto & Yamato are my troops to combat algae currently. Hope u had your "fun" too ;-)

Mine has just begun, still looking for Yamato, seems like every place don't have them (Sea View, Sun Pets, Yishun 618, Clementi 32. Do keep updating, i love to see the progression of planted tanks, always do that on the train every morning

Yamato can go seaview, I was there yesterday. Still have 2 packs @ 430pm.

nice! the algae and mosses have grown out a fair bit making the rockscape look more natural and seasoned

just noticed the placement of your in/outlet and co2. wonder if any of the bubbles are getting circulated to the foreground plants? worried that the rock barrier might create some dead spots

Flow can reach the foreground plants, I can noticed the flow. On full throttle for my canister ^_^

I noticed you put in large foreground plants, maybe consider switching them back to smaller plants to preserve the original sense of scale.

Don't mind my saying, but the tank looks much smaller to me now... if i didn't see your thread title, i'd have though it resembled a low-profile 2ft tank (instead of a 4ft tank).
