Calcium Cabonate tablet

Hi all, i wonder where can i get calcium cabonate tablets. Someone told me i could get it from Guardian, but the salesgirl asked me whether Calcium carbonate is a brand!

Calcium Carbonate... I remember it was one of the main ingredients in a medicine for the stomach. I wanted to buy... but the cost was totally off from Dr Mallick's one, which is pure.

What are they for? pH buffering? Too costly if you intend to use it for buffering. There are many other cheaper substitutes. If it is Ca you are trying to provide, forget it. I have been there and done that and have stopped since. Don't really need extra Ca dose when fish-feed contains an abundant of Ca.

However, if you still want to try, pharmacy at SGH, TTSH or CGH sell them in no-frill packs.

Thanks for the replies. I just bought a 1kg bag of calcium carbonate from Dr Mallick's series. It's such a big bag and I think i can use it for many years

Previously i bought CaCo3 tablets from a website, S$2 for 10 tablets. Although initially i didn't consider the tablet form costly, after comparing with the 1kg bag, the truth is out there....
