    Hi guys!

I would like to stick 2 rocks together, tried UHU super glue, cured it, soak it in water for a day and it fell apart.

After searching on google, epoxy seems like a good alternative when fully cured. Since I have an araldite epoxy lying around at home, my question is, can I use it to join the rocks together? Would it be shrimp/fish safe?

PS: My araldite epoxy is Araldite Rapid Steel

    Thanks!

I've used araldite epoxy glue for many of my DIY projects and repairs around the home, but have not tried using it yet for items that will be submerged in aquariums.

I have noticed this warning label on one of the packs i have though... "Do not use to repair or bond items that will contact food or drink", i guess that probably means there is a possibility of a chemical or compound that may leach out of the cured epoxy material.

Maybe you can look at alternatives like aquarium silicon or those gel-based super glue, both are commonly used for attaching submerged items and already tested to be safe in aquariums.

Yeah, agree with you, saw that liner as well, think might leech slowly into the water.

also, some of the safety data sheet available online state "may have adverse effect on aquatic environment". Not sure if they mean non cured or what, but what the heck, to play safe, I just bought aquatic silicon to try.

    Thanks for the help anyway!
