Both plant that you mention can grow under normal sg temperature without chiller. Your lighting is sufficient for glosso to creep. If you worried about temperature from 6 T5 tubes, you can just add a fan to run during photo period.
Hi forum fellow
need some advice as I just started plant tank
set up
1.using odyssea 4x80 t5 and 2x80 t5
(is it enough for glosso to creep?)
2.using co2 inline diffuse attach to eheim pro 300
(using an fx5 and an addition eheim for co2 distribution)
3.glowing glosso as foreground plant and lots of lava rocks with Fissidens.
question is this setup up required chiller?and which chiller with be good for this setup.
and as this is an hobby also don't want to be stress up by the electrical bill for using chiller so any
good advice will be appreciated.if any bro can let me know how much increase of electrical bill
for using chiller.

Hi so I can skip the chiller?i though plant thrilled better at 25 degree?
SO if were to buy which model should I purchase?looking at hailea 500a or 1000a
You are looking at the older models of hailea. The newer models are all double digits. The optimal way to calculate which model you should exactly get is to find out what is the current temperature of your tank what is the temperature you are trying to achieve. But general aga-ration is to get a 1/4 powered chiller for a tank your size.

Hi,
Plants thrive in lower temperature is correct but most plants can still grow well without it. From my understanding, unless you are growing specific kind of mosses(mini pelia, weeping, etc), you do not need a chiller. However if budget is not an issue for you, then go for it. But take note of the filter flow rate that you are connecting your chiller to.
Just sharing what I would do is, continue with your current equipment, install -> run -> monitor. On hold your chiller first.
Thanks for the advice.so Fissidens still can grow in room temp right?
Yes. confirm and tested.
Hi if would like to have a chiller which 1 should I choose?hailea hs 90a or hc 1000b.and any shop can do external probe modification?
My bet will be 500a. I don't think there is any shop out there that will help you modify your chiller with external probe
So I have to do it myself?
So how to modify?as I read up seem quite complicated
There is a post in this forum that shows the step by step method and the location and model of the probe. You can try searching for it.
