how abt 6mm then? will it b safe??
dun try your luck......![]()
My uncle is using 4 x 1.5 x1.5 tanks for his luohan, think thkness is only 6mm, till now no problem. A friend used 8mm thickness one for his planted, one day saw a 'belly' (from the side view of the tank), threw away and replace with a 10mm thickness one.
Just to share there may be diff encounters. To sleep with peace, maybe 10mm thkness is better, just my opinion.![]()
thou thickness is important.... have to take note of the bracings also.... n the quality of the workmanship.... get from reputable tank makers is the best bet....
Flyingfox, previously i had an imported 4ft with just 6mm thickness, it leaked after 3mths. There are many factors to consider such as the ht, sand level, rocks etc. Yes. Bracing is one of the safety measure.
BTW, i found out my previous tank's thickness was 6mm only after it leaked.

Just curious... imported from where? China, Taiwan or Europe?
I am considering a German tank.
