2ml excel shouldn't have too much effect to the tank as a whole. Any major changes to the water, lighting, temperature or fertilizer regime?

Hi... was wondering if anyone had encounter this problem before?
Scenario. .. 2 ft 65 litre tank. tank with co2 injection, dose with N,P,K flourish n trace twice weekly. dwarf baby tears, dwarf hairgrass and flame moss..was attack by bba on plants.. spot treat with seacheam excel (2 ml mix with 15 ml water). The next day bba turn reddish.. but after a few days, flame moss started to turn brown..All the other plants stop pearling and stunt growth . It's been like for a month already.. everything stops growing..
Anyone had this problem before?any remedy? How long it takes to recover?

I used to experience this as well, especially when plants are introduced into a new tank. Even moss stopped growing.
However after 2months all plants are growing wild.
My guess is it takes time for them to get used to the new water parameter, what you can do now is to ensure sufficient nutrients needed for growth, control algae and avoid fluctuating water parameters.![]()
If you administer spot treatment, it might be too strong for the plants around them. Is your brown moss very near to your spot treatment region? I have cases where the hc Cuba and other plants leaves near to the spot treatment turning white and melted. Just take them out of the tank and the rest should recover soon.
Pearling is not necessary an indication of good plant health. Therefore, there is no need to be alarmed so long as your plants are doing well.
Pertaining to BBA, it might be due to blind spots where your water flow cannot reach. I also notice that if you flow is too strong and BBA will appear along the area where the strong flow which passes it. My theory is that the co2 did not land on them since the flow was too fast and it pushes them away. Not sure my theory though. I think you should first tackle the BBA issue so that you do not have to spot dose so often and your plants should grow well subsequently

I spot treated directly onto the plants that were affected by the bba..guess it might be too strong for them.already stop using excel..started using algaexit 2 weeks ago..bba seems to be under control now. Also have a wavemaker for water movement n co2 have been increase to 4 to 5 bps. Drop checker shows lime green .hopefully time will let the plants recover from stunt
