Hi all,
I am a crayfish newbie and have been searching all over my country (Singapore) for marbled crayfish. There have been many fakes and false ones lately and I am eager to get my hands on one. However I am unsure if the latest one I have found is the real deal. Could you experts help me identify is this is indeed a true blue marbled crayfish?
I would not be on this forum much and would love to get some help on this issue. Please email me at [email protected] if you wish to
I have attached the photo of the crayfish in question
Would love to hear your insights!

I'm probably going to get one tomorrow, brown one but $2 only![]()
i am not an expert here but from my research last night, the marbled crayfish does not have a true colour. It is basically brown coloured but changes its colour according to its diet. It has been observed to also be orange and green too.
But what I think it is the most awesome thing about this beautiful is that it is a strict vegetarian. That means no fish nipping! Not sure of it will do well in planted tanks.
Another interesting fact is that they are all females and actually reproduce on its own. Maybe that is how that pure female Amazonian tribe has remained only one-sexed for so long. They are part-marbled-crayfish.

I kept them before and they do eat fish, blood worms and snails but even though they prefer plants
