guppies swimming at top of water?

I'm so puzzled about this, why is it whenever I turn on my lights they will swim up to the surface of water? They would just swim around the surface of water and when I turn my lights off they would be like normal fishes swimming everywhere in the tank..

I think it's normal, they might think its feeding time...hahaha

Thing is, they stay at the surface all the time until I off my lights. Seems so strange

Yeah... they are just hanging about the water surface and waiting for food. The lights on indicates prospect of food magically dropping from above. Guppies are always hungry.

the mini guppies i have in my office, are always hungry!! when my hand move over the tank, they swim up to the surface area trying to hint me lol
