It might be some form of copepods.

I saw some critters that look a lot like mosquito larvae in my shrimp tank. Some of them were moving around the substrate areas while some are at the top, but I had my filter turn on and there is current moving along. I thought mosquito larvae lives in stagnant water ? Or is this some kind of other critter ?
It might be some form of copepods.

Occasionally, I would have some trimmings to give away in exchange for a can of Milk Coffee. PM me to deal.
Mosquito larvae could also appear in tanks with moving water, there are always areas with less current so they can live and hide there.
If you see them on the substrate, then its possible they may not be mosquito larvae... could be other types of common aquarium bugs and critters.
A photo of them will definitely help alot in their ID.

Well after a close look it is a mosquito larvae but how can it live inthe deep areas I thought they need to be at the surface ?
Yeah, mosquito larvae will swim down to the substrate to search for food or to hide when startled, but they do need to surface periodically to breathe air too.
Do cross check them with other critters like damselfly nymphs, they can sometimes look similar.
Anyways, if they are really mosquito larvae, you will need to manually remove them with a net or pipette... or introduce a few small fishes to help eat them up.
