Hi able to recommend a suitable canister with good flow rate for my 5ft plant tank?having a set up of fx5 but last night stop functioning.and also having a eheim ecco pro 300 for my co2 inline diffuser.so now looking for a good flow rate canister.not really looking at eheim series as it quite costly.any other alternative?

Occasionally, I would have some trimmings to give away in exchange for a can of Milk Coffee. PM me to deal.
But CO2 won't dissipate quickly with sump filter?

The above sentence is not entirely true. Just as long as the whole thing is designed with keeping surface agitation to a minimal, CO2 dissipation would be the same as any regular tank. One of the many ways, you can minimize CO2 loss is by positioning the pipe outlets underneath their respective water levels.

does not matter just inject more![]()
If it is me, i will buy two Eheim 2075 or 2073![]()
I'm old school. I will go with canister. two is not enough. I will buy three. one via chiller, another via uv, & last via co2 : ) : ) This will nuke the daylight out of the algae

Haha 3 eheim will cost bomb meh
I would prefer a sump filtration system honestly. Easier to maintain, more flexible to put equipment in and most efficient.

I have sump, the overflow make the tank look uglynot sexy

I disagree with the ugly statement. I think it all depends how you scape your tank. I believe with a proper design you can use the hardscape to cover up the overflow box or side of the tank.

It will limit your creativity, just because need to cover the overflow.
Use this...
I know i post this MAME design overflow many times and it'll definitely be a headache to clean... but it looks so nice!
Honestly, if i manage to start a 4-5ft or larger tank, i will immediately order one of this and use with a sump filtration system.
I'm sure there is replica just not reached Singapore yet.
