try using rocks/stones for the scaping, arranged in a triangular layout with provide depth feel to the tank.. (like what amano preach)

you need to determine what kinda of moss you want and if you can achieve the required temperature of that species of moss to thrive in the tank.

thou both mosses can do without CO2, they will obtain better growth if there are. why dun u get a splitter so that can supply to both tanks?
btw... wat type of shrimps u thinking of putting in the 4ft?

i'm not too sure the CO2 splitter cost how much, but heard around 50plus!
but if i invest in co2 for the moss tank, will my lighting be sufficient. too much or less!!afraid algae will outbreak.

well, mostly cherries! as my primary planted, i'm rearing them! may throw in mosquito shrimp, tiger...as well!

Not tt ex lar.... 2-way splitter only $30, i got a 3-way last year for only $42. now dunno price got drop or not....

IMHO, 36W for a 4ft is not enuff... even without CO2, think the mosses will have slow growth. i wld suggest to get the splitter and increase yr lightings, then u will be able to tweak the amt of CO2 to achieve optimum results rather than trying to struggle with minimum provisions....

i be getting that splitter, anyway any place recommend to buy?!

as for lighting, i need to increase how much?!the reason i'm going for moss setup, cos is low maintainance!
i have a primary planted, quite tedious to look after! so i just wanna a low tech, maintainance tank to look after!

you can call up NA to check on availability. As for the light, maybe another strip of 2x36watt might be good enough. Also, I think having both java and erected moss might be rather messy and difficult to maintain once they grow
