15ft x 3 ft not meter, if in meter it will not even fit my living room! Hahaha.

My mistake! Haha... not sure why i read as meter, its actually feet.

    L15ft x D3ft x H6ft is still super impressive, works out to 7,850+ litres.

Wow, that is still a crazy tank... The last time I managed to see a tank that was huge was the show tank at the now defunct Gratiola shop somewhere in Chinatown area. Yours must be way longer. But their tank was like 3 ft I think.

I mean 3 ft height. It was probably 5m - 7m long but the height was the impressive part.

Your tank will probably need to be made with Acrylic.
Glass panels is probably not feasible at such sizes right?

I am staying at the third floor but the tank would be located on the mezzanine level.

So observant and clever. Yes. I am staying at a landed property at the moment. In fact, the whole village is here. My parents, my brother's family, my sister, a domestic help and my family. 11 of us in total.

I actually envision the 'Wall' tank to be made of glass but I am still trying to figure that out. I will be visiting a few tank makers to determine the feasibility.

To the rest, I am extremely humbled by the support and comments. I thank you all for the support but I would like to remind all again that this is still a 'plan' for now. I will post updates when I have them.

    Fwah!

6ft height would still require massive lighting just to illuminate the tank. You might have to look into those 1000w metal halide or more. I really hope this project materialise!

The basement of 112 Katong Mall (junction of Joo Chiat Road and East Coast Road) has an even larger tank. Maybe even 30 feet. They use it to partition one of the dessert outlets there. I sat next to it during my meal there and was totally mesmerized by the fishes and plants (mostly ferns)

i dont think that my date was too impressed that I spent more time looking at fishes and plants than her!!

Yeah, the tank at katong mall was also setup and maintained by Green Chapter too... they have done quite a few giant tank projects locally.

For those who are curious what it looks like and how they set it up: http://www.greenchapter.com/view.php?pg=0&tp=500&id=222

Lots more amazing giant aquarium setups in their project portfolio gallery too: http://www.greenchapter.com/portfolio.php?pg=0&tp=500

I don't intend to run it planted, so I am not sure if I do need that much light. I was thinking of light the tank through some background lighting. That would come up in further updates.

I sincerely hope so too. But the more I thought about it, the more worried I am. Not only this is a lot of financial commitment, there is also the tougher problem of time commitment. Maintenance would no longer just mean hoses, pails and a hand-held algae scrubber.

Re: The 'Wall' [Warning: Wordy and Pic-intensive]

Lighting can be done cheaply. I am using 30W LED Floodlights to light up my 6ft planted tank. Daylights are 6000K. They have them in 50W. I think there are bigger wattage on the market.
