i tied a stone to my bogwood and left it sink in the tank. After 1st and 2nd week, i removed the string and it came floating in the surface. bubbles were seen bubbling out from the bogwood and it took abt a mth to settle down. be sure to rinse with hot water for couple of times.

You sure you got bogwood and not driftwood or mangrove root? To the best of my knowledge, all bogwood sink without extra aid. Bogwood usually has 2 tone of brown and is very heavy

anyway, you can either weight down the wood you got or soak in hot water to release the air trapped within
