i thing,in the left side,is java moss.and in the right side is stringy moss......CMIIW

Hi,
yesterday I got some new mosses from a friend. He got them also from friends and we don't know where they originally came from, so I can just show you the picture of them:
These are two mosses. The pictures show approximately their real sizes. The one the left side is a stiff, dark green moss which looks similar to Java moss on the first gaze but it's bigger and stiffer and darker.
The one on the right looks very similar to the stringy moss. But I'm not sure because I never saw the stringy moss in natura, so I can't compare them. It's thin and fragile and has very tiny leaves like you can see on the picture. I hope you can help me a bit!
Best regards
Robert
PS Loh K L, your Taiwan moss is doing fine and looks great:
The Weeping moss has some green tips but I can see any growth and there are also some brown leaves. Both are in the same tank, side by side. Thanks for both of them. BTW, the downoi is also growing, the biggest ones are about 1cm big.

Robert,
The one on the left is probably Singapore Moss. I can't be sure but I'm quite definite it isn't Java. If you look at a whole frond, you will find that Java looks very similar to Taiwan. The difference lies in the size and shape of the frond.
I'm glad the mosses are doing well for you. I sent the Downoi stems to a couple of chaps in this forum but you're probably the only one whose Downoi is already throwing out leaves. For the others, the stems arrived in poor condition.
