Glue Gun Suitable for Planted

Hi

I have a scape in mind, but will require the use of those glue gun found in normal hardware store. Are those glue suitable for use in the planted aquarium? or is there a specific type I need to use?

I think hot glue should be inert so it should be fine. But I'm not entirely sure. Never tried it before.

Alternatives could be aquarium safe silicon or gel based super glues like those from ISTA.
