    hi

    my setting is as follows:

    (1) lighting 1330 to 2330
    (2) c02 injection 0900 to 2300
    (3) kh3 ph 6.6 from 1330 to 2330

the reason i start the c02 injection early is that when the light turns on at 1330, the ph reading would be at 6.6 and stays till 2330, hence consistent c02 level!?

so any cons for this early c02 injection??

    cheers

you do not really need to inject co2 before photoperiod, fluculation of pH is during on/off photo period is normal

    hi

but fluctuation of ph level means in consistent co2 level is it?? so will this lead to bba??

btw if i start c02 injection during light on, i can on achieve ph 6.6 from 7.4 six hours later.

    cheers

Yes, if the CO2 below and out of the good CO2 range.

Seems like you have a response time/in tank mixing issue. How big is your tank? What kind of reactor are you using? How much flow are you using to drive the reactor if you are using one?

    hi

i am using the internal reactor with 5 aquaballs type for my 4 feet, run in by a 2028 canister. i am also using a flipper to enhance the c02 diffusion.

i have to rule out using an external reactor as it may be too troublesome to add in between the canister filter now, hence any recommendation for a internal reactor?

    cheers

Your tank is rather big so by using all the filter flow to the reactor will leave nothing much for circulation. Do note that filter are design to clog over time hence the flowrate is going to drop as well. Consider getting a powerhead to run the reactor. Get as much flow as you can into the reactor without burping issues at the outlet. That is the max response time and efficiency that you can get out of the reactor. The other thing is to get the outflow of the reactor well mixed in the tank by placing the outlet near the filter outflow (spraybars are good).

    hi

thanks for the advice on the c02 diffusion issue. i'll see how to implement the suggestion u give without disturbing the tank too much.

    cheers
