You'll just have to shop around more and keep a close eye on tanks that contain these type of fishes... in addition, not all of them will be such intense red color, only a percentage in every batch will be that color and those are the ones you select to buy. Any fishes that are not already red in the LFS tanks, no point buying because chances are they wouldn't be as red even after they are acclimated to your tank anyways.

Its also very possible that all the nice red ones were already selected and bought up from those tanks (especially if the fishes were already in stock for quite a while), hence only left with the less red ones. In that case, you'll just have to wait for the next batch or shipment.

I like to compare this selection process to a similar criteria when choosing fire red shrimps from LFS tanks, you'd also want to choose only the reddest ones too.

Somehow my rasboras looked like threadstarter's(same colour same pattern on body). But it written as brigittae on the tank and confirmed by the shop owner. In about a week, i got 2 out of 10 left.....all died due to swim bladder disease

Most LFS have trouble differentiating these fishes too, as they tend to be pale and in stressed condition initially, so quite often they are invariably mis-labelled... therefore its up to buyers to double-check before purchasing.
