noticed that halfway through the photo period, the internal three ball reactor starts putting out tiny bubbles (none during the first half of the photoperiod)... any ideas why? i notice it usually starts to shoot out more bubbles as the plants start to pearl...not sure if its related

can i stuff the outlet of the reactor with filter wool to keep the bubbles inside for greater difusion?

Those tiny bubbles might not be CO2.

As the CO2 bubbles get tumble around in the reactor, 2 things happen. One, the CO2 from the bubble diffuses into the water. Two, gases (mainly N2) in the water diffuses into the bubble. So you may end up with some undissolved gases after some time of operations.

thanks... would a slower flow rate prevent this? my reactor runs on a separate powerhead... its 23 gallon tank and the powerhead is 200l/h

I think you don't have to prevent it . It is a natural thing. That's why in the Dennerle's design, there is always a way to vent these insoluble gases.
