    I just sharing my view:
    1) the Monte carlo you bought from LFS is Emersed form.. they need to transition to submerge form.

Re: Help on Monte Carlo plant

sorry, quick to see shiny stuff below your monte carlo.
their cultivated emersed conditions that way, planting them better not to have mesh. train abit on how you plant with pincers, you'll get the hang of it.

As Irvine said, it's correct. their transition to submerged form includes this phase.. treat it as old leafs to be replaced by new ones. If you have inject Co2 pump abit more it really does help.

Sorry but i edited your post, sms lingos are actually not allowed in AQ. i use sms lingos lots in whatsapp, but not in fourm. If i can do it so can you

How about your tank parameter? Light, water circulation, soil, fertilizer?

Re: Help on Monte Carlo plant

having taken a closer look at the plants , they look more like HC aka Cuba and not MC aka monte carlo
IMHO, HC might be a harder to keep keep than MC.
