Will microbacter or chiller prevent algae from growing?

Hi guys ,

I'm almost going to give up in fighting my tanks with green hair algae problems..

It's a planted tank.. my fish keeps dieing as well..

try many methods but not working..

Was wondering if I add in microbacter or a chiller will greatly decrease the growth of algae?

Really need help.

it is normal to have algae in planted tanks...whether you like it or not, its nor easy to totally eradicate them. you may want to share more info about your tank so we can help further? at the meantime, you can visit the blog http://theplantedtankblog.blogspot.s...-yeartank.html for some basic information about planted tanks....

You need to balance your tank nutrients, co2 and lightings correctly also. I am also facing the same situation as you but I not giving up yet

As for why your fishes keep dying, it maybe another issue, is it your bioload too high or your filter undersize or you did not do enough water changes.

Perhaps you want to share your tank set up (size, equipment, light, filtration, CO2?, age of tank) & types of fishes.

Hair algae issue is usually a relationship between fertilizers added & its take up rate. Share your fertilization regime.

To clear the hair alage, can consider yamato shrimps.
