I have an existing Eheim2215 (running 2-3years) and I am now trying to install a set of double tap. However the existing hoses are so tightly connected to the canister and I am unable to remove it. Any advice or tips how I can remove the hoses and install new ones. Thanks.

Just use a pen knife or sharp pointed scissors and carefully slice/cut the hose length-wise at the area where the old hoses connect to the canister filter ports, that will split and release the grip of the hose, then you can remove them easily.

The screws to tighten the hose works by moving towards the hose to clamp it.
You screw the clamp away from the hose towards double tap to release lock. Then just yank out.
