I am having HC as foreground plants. It carpeted pretty well initially but it start to turn dark green and some even became brown. Wonder what is the problem with it and I hope the pros here can enlighten me. The following are some of the information which may provide some clues, I hope.

    Tank Dimension: 90cm x 30cm x 30cm
    Tank age: 3months
    Soil: ADA Amazonia Powder
    Fertilisers: 3 pump brightly K, 3 pump Step 2
    Co2: 1.5 Bps
    Lights: Evo Green Element 24 x 3w + UP aqua LED 34 x 0.5w.
    Temperature: 28-29 deg
Flora: Micranthemum Umbrosum, Staurogyne Repens (Tropica 1-2 grow), Hemianthus Callitrichoides "Cuba" (Tropica 1-2 grow)

    Re: Help for HC

Your tank specs look okay for plant growth... maybe it's just low on nitrates or phosphates (or other nutrients) and the HC is affected by it. Perhaps can try dosing those macro nutrients and also more micro nutrients, see if it helps.

Btw, whats the soil depth/volume in your tank? Reason i ask is the less soil used, the less nutrients it can supply to the rooted plants before you need to supplement them with additional fertilizers.

6cm is okay, actually its quite alot for a 30cm height tank (works out to 20% of the tank height and volume)... theoretically that ratio of soil should have a relatively good lifespan of nutrients to support the rooted plant growth.

Its still possible the plants may have used up certain nutrients that need to be replenished though (especially in a Co2 injected tank and the plant growth is fast), so just have to try increasing fertilizer dosing and observe.

Check if the HC is still well rooted. If not, you can sprinkle thin layer of substrate over the plant. If grown too thick and not trimmed, bottom layer will die and upper layer starts to float.
