Where is the burn? I have the same experience before on the green element Evo, I only change the power supply, led workijg
Hi all. In need of help. My green element adaptor just blew. It just sparked followed by some smoke and burnt smell. Cant turn it on afterwards.
What should i do?
Where do i get a new adaptor for it?
Is the main light still operable if i change the adaptor?

Its at the power plug head itself. Can still smell the burnt. Where can i go buy the head adaptor?
Sim lim tower
Thanks for the info all.
I managed to call eastoceansg. They sell the adapter for my 45cm series at $8.
My opinion is if it burn so easily then it is dangerous... if no one is at home, and the adaptor burn... the result is horrible...
Hmm. In that case i shall go get from simlim. Perhaps more reliable. Im thinking the same too. It is dangerous.
Yeah... maybe find similar with bigger ampre.. so if your led require 2A then get 5A.. at least got some buffet
Thanks for the advice. Never thought of that. Not quite eletrical savvy.
That's abit scary. I just bought the green element led too. And the adapter get rather hot.
How long you been using the light?
I bought it 2nd hand. But still new and good condition. Used only for a month. The light was about 2months from previous user.
Nope... they only supply the require Ampre to the Led...
It's all about luck. Mine used for 6 months then blow. I replace the power supply to the industrial type which is more robust.
Oh. No point buying power supply from sim lim tower, all are overpriced.
I think you have source for the wrong adaptor.. the Sim lim selling those Laptop adaptor at pretty low price.. do go look for AC to DC transformer... I think the owner thought you going for those LED strip.. so introduce you buy those $50 want
Nope, I did ask around. The pricing is step. End up I got a switch mode power supply from sm system which is $30+ and more than enough wattage to power 2 lights
In long run, you don't have to change the adaptor.. just image $8 every few years.. plus it give you the safe guarantee cause it never go hot.. haha..
Is 'sm system' the name of the shop at simlim? Care to share a pic of it?
