me boiling 2 pots of water to pour onto the dw right now![]()

Hi all
I understand that driftwoods are to be boiled to kill the parasites and to "bleach" the wood so it dosen't turn the water in tank brown. Boiling is the most effective method i presume.
Was wondering if there is any other ways to do this coz its not easy to find pots to do the boiling and also read that it stains the pot you're using in the process....

alternatively, put the wood in a pail and pour just-boiled water into it. Leave overnight. Change water every 24hrs for about a week.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
I poured boiling water over the driftwood many times and sinked the wood for days. But strangely, the wood still floating instead of sinking. What should I do next? Don't want to glue the wood to the bottom of the tank.
I had the same problem of my driftwood floating up. I just use some small stones to weigh it down. After a while the wood gets waterlogged and stays down. Don't know how long the process takes though as I didn't touch the wood for a couple of months once I arranged it in the tank
