My guoramis must be healthy, because all of them are building very thick bubble nests at the top every day, lol.
But I have no female guoramis. Very hard to find female guorami in the shops. Any idea where to find some?
Usually female guoramis are dull colored and plain-looking, something like female Betta fish.

Urban Aquaria has a nice aquascape which was posted previously. You can look it up. Not really an iwagumi but it looks real nice when carpet.

in such a tank with no hardscape or bushy plants etc to provide hideouts, it's going to be very hard to keep a community of fish. worse still, some are aggressive species. i suspect you are going to see damaged fins and fish are going to start jumping out soon..

My Guoramis don't jump out of the water, but they can spit a water jet very high in the air.

    I like it very much.
I think Guoramis also eat insects in the wild.
Since their natural habitat usually have plants on or close to the water surface,
they squirt water at the insects on the plants to bring them down.
Guoramis are happiest when there are some plants on the surface. Their eyes
are very good in spotting things on or near the plants.

My one month plus tank, the hair grass is really spouting. I guess other month or so, i really need to trim. Still facing GSA issue, really have to scrub it weekly and WC.
Any idea how to really solve GSA? My 2FT tank initially has GSA, but after a while, it really gone. Maybe because i install a chiller? More stable temperature?
As for this tank, no chiller, only fan. Maintain 28~29 degree.

    7 hour lighting daily,
    1bps co2,
daily doze 1ml tropica fert and Excel
    Weekly 20% water change.
    TDS 200ppm.

U can see my first post. I brought whole batch of hair grass from pasir ris farm. So no cotton type like those typical LFS.

By shifting the light to the front, it will shine on the body of the fish and people viewing from the front
will see the fish nice and bright. The reason they put the light at the back part of the tank is that it is
easier for them to feed the fish. But I personally find there's no difference at all.

With the light at the back of the tank, most of the time we see only the shadowed part of the fish. Also,
when we take photos of the tank we will not get a superb picture due to the same reason.

To prove that, it is good to do a before and after photo and see for yourself.
That's why I always fix lighting on the front part of my tanks, never at the back.
Even better still, whenever possible, I will also fix the light outside the tank (top).

No choice i have limited space and a fan.

Have to scrub the stupid GSA weekly. Now the tank look better. The hairgrass is growing well.. but still not dense enough. Probably have to wait a little longer.
