Very nice set up! I'm glad you didn't give up despite the initial challenges. Your hard work paid off.

I'm just wondering... To date, did the VG lights serve you well?
I'm deciding between the VG lights versus the FlexMini. (Which i cannot decide!)

So far i having a mini algae outbreak, and this means that the lights are strong enough. A pity no dimmer but for the price its pretty value for money. I have seen flexi mini. Seems rather dim. I reckon if you are going for a high maintance set then vg lights are better. However if you are looking at ferns buceps and crypts then flexi mini would serve you fine. I guess it is all up to your setup.

    Thanks for the pointers.
I've seen a few promotional videos from FlexMini and they seem extremely good with their full light-spectrum. In fact, I saw a time lapse which showed very good plant growth over a span of 30 days.

But I appreciate your pointers! For now, i hope you have a clean-up-crew in there to fight the outbreak.

It is always better to go down personally to the shop to take a look at the actual lights set. I believe that set is from green chapter. Go down and personally inspect it. Better for you to verify whether it is actually good or strong enough.
