    Hi guys,
Just to share a simple scape which I have created. Some pictures shows the evolution
December 2014 (startup 1ft cube on work desk)
    Tank: ANS Opticube 30cm cube
    Lights: Zetlight
CO2: Pressurised 2L with ANS intense diffuser
Filter: Eheim 2211 (With ceramic rings) Lily pipes
Substrate: Mixture of ADA, ANS and Borneo wild (messed up real bad) Used sandy beach scape but all the soil mixed in with the sand - Disaster!
Plants: S.Repens, Downoi, Stargrass, Rotala R., Alternanthera reineckii sp mini
    Fauna: Brigittae

Turned out to be a disaster! On April 2015, the tank started leaking! Destroyed my table and I had to throw the whole thing away... Sworn off ANS tanks from then.
Then started the next journey, as wife allowed me to get a new set for my birthday present. Heheh..

    New set:
Tank: ADA (pheweet!) Finally got ADA stuff!
    Cabinet: Fishy business productions
Lights: East Ocean new lights VG 30cm LOTS of bubbling now!
CO2: Pressurised 2L with ANS intense diffuser
Filter: Eheim 2211 (With ceramic rings and Seachem Matrix 50% 50% remnants from my main 2ft tank) Metal pipes as I decided I had enough of worrying. The pipes leaked twice as I did not dare to push it in too tight... My study room flooded twice!
Plants: Rotala rotundifolia, Limnophilia SP Vietnam, S. Repens, Alternanthera Reineckii sp mini, Luwigia Repens, US mini fissidens on rocks
New tank shot. Much more satisfied as I learnt my lesson and got more rocks to demarcate sand and soil. Better effect now.

Decided that, if I want to start a tank, I am better off spending the max at one shot to avoid mistakes and re-spending which leads to even more spending lol.
Next project - 1ft tank in the office!

    Other details of my tank:
Temperature: 28 degrees unless I turn on aircon and it dips to 24-25 degrees
    Dosing: own mixture - Kh2po4 + KNO3 mixture once a week. Lushgrow micros 1 drop a week

Fauna: Brigittae and 1 more species that is close to galaxy rasboras

Having a little bit of thread algae issues but not disastrous as yet. Will need to monitor and my Algexit and Bluexit is on standby. Need to put in shrimps once the conditions stabilise.

    Re: 1 Ft Cube

And in case you are asking,

Zetlight was good but not strong enough. It had many functions but not good if you are looking at high tech high maintenance.

The new light set is from East Ocean. Did not find the Chihiros and nana appealing for the price they are going for. This one is perfectly reasonable and up till now, I think it is really value for money! Gives me the total ADA look.
I am not advertising for East Ocean but if you are interested in the specs, this is the link http://www.eastoceansg.com/led-lamp-...41.html?page=4
Furthermore, I am no longer a fan of their ANS tanks. Cheaper, but the make is of lower quality. Silicon work is bad. I guess they have hits and misses.

Hah, which LFS did you visit? Did we meet? I do not remember sharing this incident yet. Unless you are talking about the leaking ANS tank...

    Re: 1 Ft Cube

my only fear with a tank in the corner is drying up the place after a maintenance.... maybe I am more clumsy but I tend to moisten not flood the floor when I do my water change, plant pruning and maintenance work, thus corners makes it difficult for me to work and upkeep else good spot.

did you consider using other plant species? seems pretty much similar to what you use with your 2ft

    Re: 1 Ft Cube

Haha good point. I am still experimenting but a 1ft cube tank has too many limitations. You need many small plants. Trying to do away with carpet.... pain the neck or rather, pain in the back to do maintenance.

Nice scape Philip! Didn't see your Narrow leaf fern in the tank )
Those ferns I took from you were all tied on dw, they breath strongly with 1 bps co2 now; hopefully I'll get a big bunch soon, hehe. Thanks!

Don't mind me asking, where did you buy your ADA tank from? I was about to buy the ANS opticube... seems like you had a bad experience

Yup real bad experience. You can get them from fishybusiness or aquatic avenue. If aquatic avenue must order first.

    Same species
    Danio erythromicron
Behaviour almost the same. Skittish. Pretty nice fish from aquatic avenue.
