    Hi experts
As subject mentioned, my ANS regulator solenoid is spoilt . Plug in and out of socket the co2 gas still being released Before my fish die of CO2 poisoning, could any experts here advise me:

    1) Is there any shop which could repair the solenoid? Is it worth to repair?

    2) Should I just buy another new one?

Thanks in advance for your kind advice

    Regards
    Nick

I am only familiar with the South and western areas. I do know that East Ocean does repair for ANS items. As for costs, I have no idea. The ANS solenoid is about $100 so if the repair costs exceed $40 then I would suggest getting either a second hand one at $50 plus or getting a totally new one altogether.

Do call East Ocean first before you go down.

nickky23, I'm a lurker here, so definitely not an expert but just one question - did you wait for a while before making that decision? Sometimes the remaining pressure of the co2 in the tubing takes a while to be released, ie your plugging in/out does not equate to instant shut off of co2.

Just a long shot, in case it might be functioning properly.

Hi drekfoo, thanks for the suggestion. I did switch off the electricity for the solenoid, but the bubble counter still going strong after 5mins.
Best proof is that I shut off the valve, counter stop. Turn on valve again, counter continue. This example is performed without the solenoid plug in any socket

I don't to venture too much into the technical handling. Will have to look for shops to fix or buy a pre-loved if I cannot find anything.
    Thanks for the reply though.

Mine has similar problems too. It happen when it's on timer. But when it's on individual plug. After switching off, you will hear a click sound at the solenoid which the valve close.
For some reasons, the timer off doesn't trigger it to shut off the valve

Have you try with another timer? Maybe timer issue? Or try a light with that timer?

The timer is with light too. The light works fine. I may exchange it since it still under warranty. Need to check bit more
