hi, is there any fish (small fishes only.. coz mine is a nano 1foot tank) or shrimps i can use to help fight algae? my algae is like fine, short hair sticking onto glass, co2 tubing and nana leaves. there're also other thread-like or cotton-like algae sticking to leaves and co2 tubing.

it's not the FAQ in the forum rite? coz nothing was mentioned abt algae.
i chked the aarticles from the Home page cant find either.

go to the main forum index page and scroll to the bottom.
Focus on what makes a plant grow and forget about the algae. All that is needed for the algae is just removal via yourself (beats any algae eater.). It will not return if the plants needs are taken care of but will if it is not address.

shrimps that eat algae
almost all shrimp in the market eat algae. exception are ghost shrimp (the feeder kind).

for fish, otos, some algae eating gobies, anostomous ternetzi, sae, black balloon mollies.... so I doubt any of those are suitable.

note that certain critters eat only certain types of algae.
