Dennerle Scaper's Flow

Hi All,
Anyone using this filter? It is used in Germany and seems the preferred filter in their contests/shows, but seems like no where sell them.

Nice thing about this is lily pipe can fit with it. So am wondering if anyone can advise where to buy this besides Amazon.

On a side note, is anyone having any friends or relative living in Germany? Hehe...

You don't have to buy the Dennerle brand one... there are versions of the same design available locally from other brands like Shiruba, ISTA and Azoo. Can buy from most of the popular LFS like Seaview or C328.

Here is an example of the Shiruba version:

They all come with attachments to hang on to the side of the tank... hoses are included so you can also just place it on a surface and use it like a normal canister filter, along with options for rainbar or single duck-bill outflow, can mod to fit a plastic lily pipe outflow too.

Main difference is the Dennerle version is painted white.

Btw, there is also a more advanced version that was just recently released from Top Aqua brand, also available locally too:

Yeah, i agree... the Top Aqua version is more like a hang-on filter, its slim in shape and looks compact, but has less media volume.

The Shiruba version is basically a canister filter with detachable accessory hooks, looks bulky when hooked on tank glass, but has much more media volume.

The neat thing of this is no long running host/pipes but the small media volume may require more frequent cleaning.
I was thinking of Big canister filter which hide away and would prolong the maintenance interval.
