Waterfall with crested geckos

I have a crested gecko vivarium and I am interested in putting a waterfall in it. I was wondering about costs, what I would ned, and if this would work at all. I have a 18x18x24 inch tank with 18x18x5 inches of it being waterproof. I have heard bad things about exo terra, and would rather just build one. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

you just need a pump and some pipes and some rocks to create the waterfall...
