Yeah, green water isn't specifically mentioned on the AlgExit bottle, but it does say "targets green algae", so there is a good chance it affects green water algae too. Can try and see.
You'll still need to solve the underlying causes though, ie. excess light and nutrients, otherwise it'll be like fighting an uphill battle.
If its any indication, whenever i take water from tanks that have been treated with AlgExit to try culturing green water (to feed my filter feeders), it takes forever to get green water going... end up have to use old water from non-treated tanks then the culture can start up.
An alternative to chemical treatment is to try filter feeders instead... like golden clams, daphnia moina or mountain shrimps etc. They consume green water in large quantities and could be a better more natural method of managing green water conditions.
