Leaving Plants in Pots

is there any reason why i can't leave new plants in their pots and hide the base behind dw or rocks? i mean those stem plants not those with large root systems?

there isnt anything wrong with leaving the plants in the pot.. but sometimes, the way the plants are wrapped in the mineral wool simply damage the plant. Also, once the plant starts grow rapidly, then it might shade the bottom end and 'might' melt away
